Obituary

Annette Walker-Wheeler, 65, of Jacksonville, FL transitioned on July 18th, 2023.

Annette was born on January 20th, 1958 to Fred and Lucille Walker in Jacksonville, Fl. Annette graduated from Paxon High school. She attended FCCJ college and continued her education at First Conservative Baptist obtaining a Doctorate degree in Theology.

Annette loved to sing and dance. She loved all things music; you would usually find her listening and singing a tune of some sort. She had a strong sense of fashion, often wearing bold vibrant colors to display the vibrance of her personality. Annette lit up any room she walked in; full of personality and sass.

Annette was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She spent her life caring for those around her. She loved family and bringing them together. Annette was an excellent cook. Many years she hosted holidays at her house, cooking large spreads of food infused with her secret ingredient, love.

Annette was married to her loving husband Frank Wheeler for 37 years, together they shared 7 children.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Wheeler, her sister Catherine Neely (Joe) and brothers LJ Walker and EJ Walker.

She is survived by her four sons; Terrance Walker, Anthony Walker (Carlotta), Deatric Walker, Jacoby Wheeler (Cara); Grandchildren, Adriana Walker, Breanna Woodcock, Alysha Parker, Dallas Walker, Anthony D. Walker, Terrance Walker Jr., Brianna Wheeler, Bryce Wheeler, Jacoby Wheeler II; Great grandchildren, Abel Walker, Kaelani Parker; God-daughters, Nacoya Ransom, Arianna Dennison; Siblings, Shirley Core, Janice Rodall, Fred Walker Jr (Marnessa), Yvonne Morgan (Joseph); Best Friends, Shirley Wells and Sabrina Hartsfield; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Annette lived through many hardships and health issues throughout the years. She never let her circumstances define her. She wore a smile no matter what, always encouraging and uplifting others around her. Annette was a devout Christian; she loved God and spoke of his goodness at every opportunity. Annette found solace in her relationship with God and knew where she was going. Annette will be missed dearly; she made a lasting impact on so many individual's hearts. "Well done thy good and faithful servant."

Funeral service for Mrs. Wheeler will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 at True Vine Ministries 936 Nelson Street Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Viewing will be held and hour before services.
