KAPHERS
Jun 7, 1992 — May 5, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Brandon Laron-Dequez Kaphers, a gentle giant whose presence touched the lives of many. Born on June 7, 1992, in Jacksonville, Florida, Brandon departed this world on May 5, 2026, in his beloved hometown. His journey, though cut short, was marked by unwavering dedication, kindness, and a boundless love for those around him.
Brandon was a skilled mechanic who honed his craft while attending from J-Tech Automotive School. His hands worked meticulously, not just to repair engines and machines, but to build a life filled with care and compassion. To know Brandon was to know a gentle soul who carried strength with humility and kindness.
Those who loved Brandon will forever treasure his memory. He leaves behind his beloved children—Braeyonna, Brailyn, Brandon, Braelle, Brayah, and Braxton—who were the lights of his days and the pride of his heart. His devotion to them was a testament to his character, a father’s love so profound and true.
Brandon is also survived by his caring parents, Priscilla McGhee and Ronald Kaphers Sr.(Valerie), extended father, Gary Boyd, who stood by his side through life’s challenges and triumphs. Along with them, his grandmother, Minnie Mchee, his fiancée Aleksandra Nedimovic and his God Parents, Melinda Thornton, Tonya and Elwan Lang.
Family was at the center of Brandon’s world. His siblings Vwashain Danielly, Ronika Addison (Jeremy), DeAundre McGhee, Da’Cobi Timmons, Ronald Kaphers Jr., Ryan Kaphers, Rashard Kaphers, Davontea Kirkland (Chelsea), Reco Johnson, Tahn Stuart (Brionna), Terance Riddick and Eric Worrell carry forward the bonds of shared memories, laughter, and love that only siblings can know.
Brandon’s extended family comprised a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives, all of whom were touched by his generous spirit. Among his devoted friends, Rosa James and Gary Boyd held a special place in his life, offering friendship that was steadfast and true.
Brandon Laron-Dequez Kaphers was a man whose gentle giant spirit brought warmth and strength to his community. While his absence leaves an irreplaceable void, his legacy of love, humility, and kindness will forever echo in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him. May we find comfort in the precious memories he leaves behind and carry forward his light in the days to come.
