It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Brenda Shields, who left this world on April 16, 2026. Born on June 1, 1954, in Buena Vista, Georgia, Brenda lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and service.

Brenda was a devoted member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where her faith and commitment were a guiding light throughout her life. Her strong connection to the church was a cornerstone of her identity and provided comfort to many who had the privilege of knowing her.

Professionally, Brenda dedicated numerous years to University Hospital, where she was a valued and respected employee. Her work there was characterized by diligence and compassion, reflecting her enduring desire to serve others and contribute meaningfully to her community.

The visitation for Brenda Shields will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Weston's Mortuary, located at 3027 Myrtle Ave N, Jacksonville, FL 32209. Friends and family are invited to gather, reflect, and celebrate the life of a woman who touched many hearts. The funeral service will follow on  May 2, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 7141 New Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
