HELEN WHITE
June 12, 1968 – May 6, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Helen White, a devoted certified nursing assistant whose gentle spirit and caring nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Helen dedicated her life to helping others, embodying compassion and kindness every step of the way.
Helen was born on June 12, 1968, in Jacksonville, where she would also spend her final days on May 6, 2026. She attended Duval County schools, grounding herself in the community that she later served so selflessly. Known by those closest to her as a deeply caring person who helped everybody, Helen's commitment to service was not merely a profession but a calling that enriched countless lives.
Her family was central to her life. Helen is lovingly remembered and survived by her mother, Agnes Brooks, her sister Beatrice Louis (Roy), and her beloved god-daughter, Cleria. She also leaves behind cherished nieces—Teressa Johnson, Latasha Hart, Ashley Hart, and Velisha Kirtsey—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Among her dearest friends was Brenda Tombin and Virginia Burkes, her best friend, who was a steadfast presence through thick and thin.
Helen was preceded in death by her grandmother, Althea Brown, whose legacy of strength and love undoubtedly influenced Helen's own life. She also mourns the loss of her sister, Annie L O'Johnson, and her step-father, Willie Gant, who remain tenderly remembered.
Helen White’s compassionate heart, her readiness to aid others, and her unwavering spirit of kindness are gifts that will resonate forever in the lives she touched. Her story is one of dedication—not only to her profession but to humanity itself—offering a legacy of love, hope, and profound care. Though she has departed this world, her memory continues to inspire, comfort, and uplift all who were blessed to know her.
Rest in peace, Helen. Your light shines on in every life you touched.
