After moving to Jacksonville, Florida she completed her licensing as a massage therapist. Bliss loved her work and loved being able to help others. Bliss had many gifts and talents. She was a voracious reader and wrote the beginnings of many books as well as published one book as a teenager. Bliss was extremely artistic. She could play any instrument, paint, draw, write poetry and crochet. She expressed herself through her art as well as her enjoyment of words and imagination. Bliss loved other cultures and foods and was accepting and empathetic towards others. She felt deeply the needs and hurts of people around her.
A beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, Bliss is survived by many who have loved her deeply and faithfully over the years. From her early preteen years Bliss was loved and welcomed by her church family at Antioch Christian Fellowship and her family at Pamoja House. Following her adoption in 2006 she joined a loving and faithful family. She is survived by her parents, Walt and Mercy and her brother Thomas, along with all her grandparents, aunts, and uncles and cousins.
One of Bliss' favorite authors over the years was C.S Lewis especially his books, The Great Divorce, and the Chronicles of Narnia.
One of her favorite musicians was Keith Green including his song, the Prodigal Son. This song expresses well the heart of our loving God as well as the heart of our family. We encourage you to listen to it. https://youtu.be/WUz7AFq-7EI There is no darkness where the light and life of Christ cannot shine.
